В лагере байк-билдеров новичок из
Испании – молодая Sbay Motor Company. Этот испанский мотопроизводитель заявил о
себе совсем недавно – в апреле 2008 года, представив на суд общественности
стильный кафе-рейсер Sbay Flying 1800, который принес компании приз на World
Championship Of Custom Bike Building. А на салоне в Вероне – Verona Fair 2010 –
даже удостоился звания First Prize Cafe Racer.
При постройке этого байка главным были ни стиль, ни модные тенденции, ни дань уважения старым традициям, а высокие технологии. Так, прототип мотоцикла был разработан в системе автоматизированного проектирования, что еще на ранней стадии позволило добиться идеальной, с точки зрения автора проекта Серхио Баярри, компоновки.
Коробка передач, к примеру, была немного поднята вверх и размешена настолько близко к двигателю, насколько это вообще возможно, что позволило максимально сократить длину мотоцикла. Ходовая часть полностью построена из фрезерованного алюминия 6061-T6 с применением дуговой сварки неплавящимся электродом в среде инертного защитного газа.
Для уменьшения общего веса в качестве основного материала для
некоторых узлов был применен карбон. По словам Баярри, Flying Sbay – это очень
скоростная машина с отличной управляемостью и завидными тормозными
характеристиками.
Цифры в названии Flying 1800 намекают на объем двигателя – здесь используется
1840-кубовая 115-сильная V-образная двойка производства Rev-Tech 110î Evolution,
сблокированная с 6-ступенчатой КПП. Учитывая, что мотор
охлаждается только набегающим потоком воздуха, решение расположить бензобак
прямо над ним выглядит, мягко говоря, странно.
Хребтовая рама весьма оригинальной
конструкции (как и вида) – она сделана из алюминия 6061 T6 и одновременно
является маслобаком. Бензобак же выполнен из углеволокна – его емкость 14
литров.
Зато в ходовой полный порядок. Sbay оснастила мотоцикл топовым передним
перевертышем и задним моноамортизатором от Öhlins, консольный задний маятник от
Ducati 916.
Переднюю часть украшают два 320-мм тормозных диска Galfer Wave с 4-х поршневыми суппортами радиального типа Brembo, сзади 220-мм с суппортом того же производителя. Естественно, колесные диски Marchesini из магния. Что удивительно, при всем использовании продвинутых компонентов (хотя фару от «Харлея» трудно назвать оной) и облегченных деталей, вес мотоцикла – все-таки, 211 кг. Хотя конструкторы утверждают, что основная масса приходится на силовой агрегат. База у мотоцикла – 1565 мм, высота по седлу - 850 мм, угол наклона вилки - 24,5 гр.
Директор компании Серджио Байарри уже строит наполеоновские планы по мелкосерийному выпуску. Для начала, он пообещал выпустить Sbay Flying 1800 в количестве 250 штук по цене $53000. По желанию клиента можно также установить двигатели объемом 1340 см3 и 2100 см3.
